Why this course is perfect for you?

The Management Assistant Diploma provides opportunities to access typist, office administration, secretarial, receptionist and personal assistant careers. The person that will make a success of a career in administration or as management assistant is a person that is organised and methodical.

This course consists of an N4 Certificate, N5 Certificate and N6 Certificate. After completing the N6 Certificate students need to submit proof of 18 months experience in industry/practical to qualify for the National N-Diploma.

Time you will spend on the course:

You can complete the diploma in 2 years with 18 months in-service training. A year planner and academic calendar is available at the start of the year with dates and times of classes and campus activities to help you plan your schedule.

Can I study part time?

Yes, but you will need to register as a corresponding student. The National N-Diploma (practical) portion of this qualification is not available as a part-time option.

All examinations are external (national). To qualify for a Diploma in Management Assistant, a candidate must pass Information Processing N6.

Admission Requirements

N4: Grade 12 (with related subjects and 50% pass)

N5: N4 Certificate or equivalent qualification

N6: N5 Certificate or equivalent qualification

Candidates are expected to pass a short literacy (English) assessment before acceptance into this course. The medium of teaching in this course is English and students must be able to speak and write English.

The strength in your qualification:

Certificates and Diplomas are conferred by the Department of Higher Education and Training. All qualifications are nationally recognised by industry and universities.

Upon successful completion of this programme, learners will receive a National Certificate at each Level N4, N5, N6 and a National N Diploma in Management Assistant (on completion of N4-N6 and 18 months in-service training).

When can I enroll?

Enrolment in January and July

Duration

18 months full-time (each level is 6 months). 18 months practical work experience in the industry for a National N-Diploma.

Submission

Option 1: Complete the online ‘Contact us Form’ and one of the iCALC staff members will contact you.

Option 2: Complete the ‘Registration Form’ and email your form to mylene@icalcta.co.za, along with all supporting documents.

Option 3: Come to our campus and let us help you fill in all the forms.

Verification:

The submission is checked, and all supporting documentation is verified.

Registration:

Successful applicants will be required to pay the registration fee and first installment or deposit to finalize their registration.

The Registration is then captured and submitted, and your student number will then be issued.
